A baker's dozen
[For the past few weeks since she's arrived here, Kurtis's mansion's newest member has only been referred to as '13,' whatever her past name was. How she got there is ultimately a sad story, with her being somehow abducted and sent through human trafficking channels until she's wound up in this home... but at least so far, things haven't been overwhelmingly terrible.
She's been given an outfit to wear, a maid outfit, complete with stockings and heels, cut flirtatiously to hug her curves just so. She's given food, water, a stable form of employment handling cleaning... even a good amount of free time to herself to ponder her new place in life. She rarely sees her new owner outside of 'training,' which so far has only either meant overseeing her as she takes on a new task to ensure she learns the proper way to do it... or resting inside of a sensory deprivation tube, as pretty, glowy pink lights play for her and soft whispers tickle her consciousness—quiet, subtle messages that reassure her, tell her that this is her life, that she is comfortable, that there is no reason to disobey or escape.
What's strange is some of the random rules that he's imposed... like how she's no longer allowed to cut her own hair (and the other twelve girls won't do more than simply trim her bangs), or how some of the other girls' outfits had them wearing decidedly less—from 4's tight top that showed off clear nipple ring lines through it, to 1's wearing nearly nothing at all, it seems like there's some kind of strangeness going on around here... but so far, it's strangeness that hasn't directly touched her life yet.]
